Mayor Ken Sim’s motion, passed on May 21, repeals the ban on replacement of natural gas water heaters, ends the costly requirements for stratas to report their energy requirements to the City, and pauses the Energize Vancouver program, and more!
This means thousands of dollars back in the pockets of renters, homeowners, and business owners. A win for affordability!
Following the October local elections, BC CADE hopes to see many new municipal councils introduce motions to bring back energy choice for their residents and businesses.
